Samuel Bowen, baritone

Originally from Charlotte, Samuel Bowen holds a Bachelor of Music from North Carolina School of the Arts. Currently, Samuel is a graduate student at New England Conservatory where he studies voice with Mark St. Laurent. As a specialist in the lyric and character baritone repertoire, roles include Pistola, Somarone, Schaunard, L'ours, Patrocle, and the lovable Maestro Spinelloccio. Exciting partial roles include Bretigny, Belaev, Rosinni's Figaro and Dandini, and George in Floyd's Of Mice and Men.

This season with Boston Opera Collaborative, Samuel will perform Rossini's Figaro in the original production, The Countess of Seville, Masetto in Don Giovanni, and Count Formaggio in Pizza con Funghi. At New England Conservatory, this semester Samuel performs Mozart's Papageno, Vernon in Summer and Smoke, Schumann's Dichterliebe, and will be programming a full recital to be performed in the upcoming semester.
