Samuel Bowen, baritone

Samuel Bowen holds a Master of Music from New England Conservatory and a Bachelor of Music from North Carolina School of the Arts. In November, Samuel will appear as Editor Webb in Rorem’s Our Town with Raylynmor Opera. Samuel has performed Marco, Masetto, and Schaunard with Boston Opera Collaborative and Pistola at the Intermezzo Young Artist Program. While studying at New England Conservatory, Samuel performed Vernon in Hoiby’s Summer and Smoke, L’ours in Milhaud’s Les Malheur d’Orfée, Don Pelagio in Haydn’s La Cantarina, and the Mayor of Padua in Bizet’s, Doctor Miracle. Exciting partial roles include Papageno, Guglielmo, Dancaïro, Brétigny, Maximillion, Belaev, Rossini’s Figaro and Dandini, and George in Floyd’s Of Mice and Men. Sam resides in Jamaica Plain and continues to be a student of Mark St. Laurent.
