Born in Los Angeles, California Filipino/Cuban American Soprano, Vanessa Julia Isiguen currently resides in Boston. Ms. Isiguen earned her B.M. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her M.M. from The Boston Conservatory. Recent awards include 1st place NATS-Boston 2007, and one of the top-five finalists at The Boston Conservatory Concerto Competition, 2007. Partial and Full roles include Lauretta, Countess, Fiordiligi, Mimi, Elvira from Bellini’s I Puritani, and Fiorilla from Bellini’s Il Turco in Italia. Ms. Isiguen toured Austria as a soprano soloist with the AIMS orchestra during the summer of 2006, and was the soprano lead in the U.S. premiere of Handel’s Silla, in San Francisco 2007. Ms. Isiguen was also selected to perform at The Boston Conservatory Gala Evening, spring 2007.
Ms. Isiguen currently studies with Maria Spacagna, and is very excited to be part of the Boston Opera Collaborative.
