Online ticket sales are closed at midnight the evening before any performance. Tickets are available to all shows at the door, cash or check only.
Buy your tickets now for BOC's production of Bizet's classic, Carmen! Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30, and Sunday performances are at 3:00. Carmen will be held in the Bulger Performing Arts Center at Boston College High School, 150 Morrissey Blvd, Boston, MA. Nathan Troup directs. Michael Sakir conducts. Performances will be sung in French with English supertitles.
BOC will be restoring the historical Opéra-Comique version of Carmen, omitting the sung recitatives that were added later by a different composer. With its original spoken dialogue, Boston audiences can now witness the same electrifying Carmen that rocked Paris audiences in 1875.
The July 19 performance will have a special pre-performance lecture by Dr. Libor Dudas at 2:00pm.
Students who purchase tickets online must present ID upon picking them up, or additional fees will apply.
PEDESTRIAN DETOUR
Due to construction, there is a pedestrian detour to the venue for Carmen:
Pedestrian Access to BC High: When leaving the JFK/UMass stop, use Mt. Vernon St to cross Morrissey Blvd immediately (with the Citizens Bank kiosk at your back), going under the underpass and continuing across the northbound lanes of Morrissey Blvd. The Sovereign Bank building will be in front of you. Turn right down Morrissey Blvd; BC High will be on your left.
Please note that if you wish to pay at the door, we can only accept cash or check--no credit cards!
