This production pairs one of the world’s most loved song cycles with a brand new commission. Just as Robert Schumann’s Dichterliebe explores and explodes romantic ideals of the early 19th century, our newly composed cycle, Love in the Time of…, dwells on the possibility and impossibility of love amidst all the promise, the turmoil, the wonder and the heartache of the 21st century.
Performed online, in addition to conversation with the composers, poets, singers and creative team.
