Friday, February 21 @ 7:30pm

Experience an intimate evening as we intertwine two beloved musical works with artwork procured by the Chase Young Gallery. Nearly 300 and 160 years after their respective premieres, J.S. Bach's Cello suite no. 6 and Robert Schumann's Dichterliebe stand as enormous rites of passage for classical musicians. Bach's Cello suite no. 6 challenges the player with joyous, virtuosic movements while Schumann's song cycle asks the artist to explore the great pleasures and sorrows of falling in love. Together these works offer the audience a thrilling night of wonder and heartache.
